Pakistan trip April 2023
This trip took us not only to Lahore in the Punjab province but also to Sindh. Quite an adventure! Thirteen hours by car was a long ride. We left at night so we would arrive in Sindh in the morning. This area can hardly be called the safest 😉
There, we met the families we had been able to support during the floods. It was wonderful to finally meet them in person! They are very poor and live in a small village—you really feel like you’ve stepped back in time. But the love and warm welcome were incredible. We were able to provide education and encourage the people.
Back in Lahore, we visited all the families again. It was remarkable to see how their lives have changed now that there is stability in their financial situation—more relaxation and greater confidence in the future.
We also visited Dr. Marqus and Yasmin Fida. This year marks the 50th anniversary of his ministry and organization. To honor them, I brought a creative gift with a meaningful symbolic message.
We meet and befriend many different people from various religions—Muslims, Hindus, Christians—all wonderful people. It’s truly amazing to get to know them!
